You hunt for boxes, tape them shut, watch a bottom give out on the stairs, then spend a Saturday breaking them all down. Totes skip every step of that.

  • Rigid and stackable. Latching lids, integrated handles, uniform footprint — four high on a dolly, straight into the elevator.
  • Nothing to build or bury. No tape gun, no box knife, no trip to the dump. We take them back.
  • Genuinely clean. Every tote is washed and sanitized between customers, then inspected before it goes back out.

  • The recessed lid is the whole trick. It locks the tote above it in place, so a four-high stack rides a dolly without shifting or crushing.
  • Tie-down channels molded into the lid. On Signature moves the stack gets strapped to a load bar — nothing slides in transit.
  • Lockable. Integrated slots take a zip tie or a small padlock, which matters on shared hallways and long apartment loads.
  • Nests empty. Tapered walls mean the empties collapse into a fraction of the space on pickup day.
  • Wardrobe totes available. Add a taller tote with a hanging bar for closets at $12 each.

Every tote comes back through the wash bay.

Used totes are a fair thing to ask about. Here's exactly what happens between your move and the next one.

    Emptied and sorted

    Totes are returned to our facility the same day they're collected and sorted from the ready stock.

  2. 2

    Washed and sanitized

    Interior and exterior are washed, then treated with a food-safe sanitizing solution and air-dried.

  3. 3

    Inspected and retired

    Every lid, latch, and handle is checked. Anything cracked, stained, or worn is pulled and recycled — not re-rented.

Service area

Four zones, one metro.

We run out of Prince George's County. Delivery and pickup are free everywhere in Zones 1–3. Zone 4 is our extended reach — available by custom quote when the day's route works.

    Read the terms
    1. This is a quote request, not a confirmed booking. Your reservation is only official after Toted Away sends you an invoice and receives payment.
    2. Quotes are estimates. The price shown here is based on the details you enter. Final pricing may adjust if your actual tote count, address, or access differs from what was submitted.
    3. Booking is confirmed by paid invoice. We review each request, then email a written invoice with a payment link. Your move date is held only after the invoice is paid in full.
    4. Cancellations. Cancel more than 48 hours before your delivery day for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours forfeit 25% of the paid total (or a $50 minimum, whichever is greater).
    5. Damage and loss. Damaged totes are billed at $35 each; lost totes at $50 each, deducted from a deposit or invoiced separately. Normal wear from a move is not damage.
    6. Delivery and pickup windows. We deliver and pick up during scheduled windows. Missed appointments due to customer no-shows may incur a $45 re-trip fee.
    7. Sanitization. Every tote is cleaned and sanitized between rentals. If a tote arrives dirty, we replace it at no charge.
    8. Contact and use of your info. Your details are used only to price, schedule, and service your move. We don't sell or share your data.
